The story

Bunz started as a barter community in Toronto and grew into a platform for your city: jobs, homes, help and more. While I led product it grew to more than 500,000 users across 250+ cities.

I learned how to build teams and scale a consumer product, built the original React app, and wore many hats from customer research to marketing.

From the résumé: Led a team of four developers, two QA specialists and another designer. The consumer product grew to more than 500,000 users across over 250 cities.

Bunz 3.0

A grid home feed shows more content based on likes and ISOs (in search of). A map view arrived without changing the feed, and gesture navigation tested well with the Bunz audience. The post view put the item first, not the person, and feed filters with a distance slider moved into view.

A small flow change. A measurable difference.

8,247 → 8,476

Posts in the two weeks before and after the Android create-post redesign: about 3% more. The original case study reported it alongside research-led search, city discovery and distance filtering.

A historical outcome I reported at the time. The résumé also records growth to 500,000+ users in 250+ cities, with 23% monthly active users.
