Introduction

In 2017 I was playing around with native in-app digital currencies. This project under Bunz, dubbed $BTZ (pronounced Bitz) was the in-app currency used for transactions with settlement eventually happening on the Ethereum blockchain.

While I can't reveal too much about this project, it was a fun exploration, however I had concerns with the economics of in-app currencies and I spent quite a bit of time learning economics, even consulting professors from the University of Toronto to better understand how to do this.
