Introduction

A friend and I started Lake Finance as a way to intelligently diversify what we foresaw as an explosion of assets. Imagine on-chain derivatives, real world assets, memecoins, and more. We saw a world where a genetic AI could automatically balance between multiple assets and we saw some great returns for our team at least.

Alas, we ended up pivoting to Buy with Impact, a carbon offsetting credit card, but the learnings from building the team and product at Lake helped me bring other visions to life, raise subsequent financing rounds, and bring to market really innovative products, and at Lake we were just 3-4 years too early.
